I'm not seeing that jerkiness in playback in Chrome (or in any other browser), though the video itself is not exactly silky-smooth. On a "problem" machine, try just opening the raw video file:

That may help isolate the problem - I suspect this has nothing to do with JW Player, but has something to do with the graphics capabilities of some PC's.

Just as an experiment, see if this page behaves properly on a "problem" machine:

All I did was run the video through Handbrake with default settings.

Hello,

I looked at your site Brand Connections and have smooth playback on both PC and Mac. This leads me to believe it may be a graphics issue as MisterNeutron highlighted. If you size down the web browser does that help with your playback/resource monitoring?

Thanks for your help, the problem machine is not easily accessible to us so it iwll take me some time to test it, but another piece of the puzzle... is that the video from the below website works fine on the 'problem' machine. http://themetaagency.com/

Just grab it from my site:

Or get Handbrake (a freebie), and re-encode the original yourself:

When using Handbrake, just take the default settings, with one exception: check "Web optimized," which positions the moov atom at the beginning of the file, for streaming. It's the equivalent of ffmpeg's "- movflags faststart" attribute.
