Problem playing in Chrome 41 with Flash 17

Hello:

I am getting conflicting reports about how my embedded player is working for different users. Currently I am trying to troubleshoot Chrome 41 with Flash 17. When I run JW's Publish Wizard, my feed plays audio with no video, but the player tools are visible. Any idea what's going on here?

Feed: rtmp://198.166.214.122/legtv/livestream.sdp

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Just to be clear, this is happening within the wizard, not just on my site.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the JW Player support team. I have tried your link and see the feed fine using Chrome 47 and Flash 17. Are you using Windows or Mac? You can test this as well on your end with our HLS tester: http://demo.jwplayer.com/hls-tester/

Hi Randy:

Thanks for responding.

OS is Windows 7. Similar results (no video-only audio) using the hls-tester URL.

Here are the results of my testing so far:

My machine (Win7):
Firefox 36 + Flash 16 + HLS Tester = OK
IE 11 + Flash 17 + HLS Tester = OK
Chrome 41 + Flash 17 + HLS Tester = NO VIDEO

Results from my supervisor's machine to follow.

Hello ,

I am not sure what may be causing this for you. Just so I am capturing the goal here, can you send me a snapshot of the intended view of your streaming video?

Kindly,
Randy

Hi Randy:

Sorry to be so slow getting back to you--Easter weekend and all. You can view the live player at:

I can't see how to directly send you a screen shot.

Thanks,
Scott

Hello,

So it seems to not work on his IE11/F17 setup and Chrome on your machine. i assume he is using Windows as well? Do you see any particular browser security prompts? This is working on my machine with this setup which is odd. Heres snapashots of my various tests here. This leads me to believe this may be internal. Have you tried these options external to your Intranet?

Kindly,
Randy

All of these tests have been on Windows so far. There are no security prompts, just audio with no video.

I will try to get a few tests from outside the network.

Side note: You have mentioned screen shots a few times. I do not see any screen shots, nor any way to upload them, viewing this thread using Firefox.

Thanks,
Scott

Just a quick note, while I am thinking of it. It doesn't make sense to me that a firewall would be stopping video traffic, but allowing audio to go through.

Please feel free to send an email to support@jwplayer.com and I can forward you a snapshot of the video I am seeing on my desktop. I’ve checked your feed again today and successfully receive audio/video in all browsers.
