mp4 videos in chome

We are having issues with playback of mp4 video files in chrome. I am on the latest install of chrome and our version of JWPlayer is 6.8.4616.

Here is the unique problem. Often times, the video plays just fine in our stage environment and then in our production environment, we get the error, "Error loading media: File could not be played". We can then play the mp4 file natively in the same chrome browser.

Can anyone provide insight into this issue? Would installing the latest version of JWPlayer solve this issue.

Try JW 6.12 for starters, but there haven't been any "version-specific" Chrome problems in a long time, so that probably won't make any difference. This sounds more like a MIME type error. To know for sure, we'll need a link to your site.

Here is the link, http://www.jared.com/en/jaredstore/coach/1006640000/100200/1/0/0/0/100200.100207.100664 In the product banner, there is a link to videos in the black ribbon. Again this works on stage but not production.

No problem in Chrome 41 on a PC, either. No sound on the video, but maybe there isn't any.

Thank you for the information and testing. I tested from home outside of our network and the videos played fine.
