Playing videos from user's local/network folder?

Hi,

I was wondering if you have a solution for playing video files from user network/local folder.
Let's say user has a folder on the network which there is no web server, or bought storage which there is no web server. Do you have any suggestion to play video files from those folders?
Is web server must be set up?

Regards

Hello,

Can you detail how these files are accessed over the network. Are their any security limitations or auth methods? If they are mapable/accessible via a webpage by placing the file path in the browser I would say yes.

Kindly,
Randy

Hello Kubilay,

I think it may be great to try the player in the environment that you have and see if it resolves the network drive. In theory, as long as the drive is open/accessible. The files should transfer as intended.

Kindly,
Randy
