VAST tracking event urls guarantee

I apologize if this is the wrong forum.

I had a question about JWplayer and pinging the tracking urls from a VAST response

Does JW Player guarantee that tracking url will be pinged until it is successful?

Ie if a tracking url is pinged but the server is unavailable, will jwplayer keep trying or will it only try once, success or failure.

I believe we’ll simply fire pings at the specified intervals, but I don’t believe there is a check to ensure that these are actually received.
