Auto Reconnect for HLS


We are doing a live stream every few weeks and we've had issues with people losing the stream. We implemented the fix described here:

But it's not working for people on mobile devices or using HLS streaming.

Oops sorry. Got distracted before I could finish and actually ask a question...
Is there something we can do to make the HLS stream functional so that this doesn't happen?

Can you provide a link so I can troubleshoot the issue? Also, I can’t tell why that workaround isn’t working, but I will be able to troubleshoot if you can provide a link -
